Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £20.00 per hour, plus overtime at 1.5× (2× on Sundays)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am–3:00pm, Friday 7:00am–12:30pm (36.5 hours per week)
Location: Oldham

An opportunity for an experienced TIG Welder to join a busy engineering and fabrication business. The role involves welding fabricated components to engineering drawings and specifications, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and safe working practices.

Main Duties

• TIG welding of fabricated components
• Preparing, aligning and tack-welding components to drawings and specifications
• Setting up and safely operating welding and fabrication equipment
• Carrying out preparation, grinding, drilling and finishing work
• Measuring and checking components to ensure they meet required specifications
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience as a TIG Welder within fabrication, engineering or heavy manufacturing
• Strong practical TIG welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with preparation, measuring, grinding, drilling and finishing
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Able to safely use fabrication and lifting equipment where trained
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team
