Salary: £16.66 per hour (circa £32,000 basic), plus time-and-a-half on hours 38–47 and double time beyond 47
Hours: Day shift only, with an early Friday finish

A5 Recruitment is working with a long-established aerospace and defence manufacturer in Atherton to find two experienced CNC Millers. This is a permanent, day-shift role in a stable, growing business – skilled machining work, an early Friday finish, and genuinely strong overtime rates for those who want the hours.

The Role

Working in a precision toolroom/machining environment, you’ll set and operate a range of CNC milling machines running Heidenhain or Siemens controls, producing components to tight aerospace tolerances. You’ll machine a variety of materials – primarily aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel – with plenty of overtime available on top of the standard week.

About You

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Confident on Heidenhain or Siemens controls (essential)
• Time-served apprenticeship with a recognised qualification (BTEC / City & Guilds)
• Background machining aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel
• Aerospace or defence experience an advantage, though not essential
• Able to obtain BPSS clearance (DBS check and three years’ employment references)
