We’re recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a busy precision engineering business in Tameside, working with Fanuc controls.
Hours & Pay
- £17 – £19 per hour
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
- 37.5 basic hours per week
- Regular overtime available (6am – 8am starts) — the team is currently working 46–50 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision parts
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Program machines using Mazatrol (Mazak) controls
- Perform in-process and final inspection of components to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues independently
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and optimise workflow
What We’re Looking For
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC lathes
- Confident programming with Mazatrol / Mazak controls
- Able to work from detailed engineering drawings and self-inspect
