CNC Turner – Tameside

A5 Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency for this vacancy.

We’re recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a busy precision engineering business in Tameside, working with Mazak turning machines and Mazatrol controls.

Hours & Pay

• £16.58 – £17.50 per hour
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
• 37.5 basic hours per week
• Regular overtime available (6am – 8am starts) — the team is currently working 46–50 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision parts
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Program machines using Mazatrol (Mazak) controls
• Perform in-process and final inspection of components to ensure quality standards are met
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues independently
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and optimise workflow

What We’re Looking For

• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
• Proven experience setting and operating CNC lathes
• Confident programming with Mazatrol / Mazak controls
• Able to work from detailed engineering drawings and self-inspect
